Meet  the Housemaster...                                                    
Paul Vicars was educated at Epsom College and graduated from St. Andrews University with an MA (Hons) in Geography in 1995.  From there he entered the accountancy world, working with Ernst & Young in London for four years, until a change in career direction brought him into teaching.  After completing a PGCE at Exeter, Paul joined the Geography Faculty at Shrewsbury in 2001 and was appointed Housemaster of Severn Hill in 2006.

A keen sportsman, Paul has coached rugby, cricket, golf and hockey at Shrewsbury and, despite an ever diminishing talent and failing body, tries to play these sports where time allows.  To the amusement of many, he still harks back to the days of 2000, when part of the winning Old Epsomian Halford Hewitt golf team - hence the Severn Hill putting green!

Paul is married to Vikki who, prior to starting a family, was Practice Manager of a busy Barristers Chambers in Birmingham.  She enjoys travel, having spent some of her working life in Oregon and Western Australia and has a rather eclectic mix of hobbies which include cooking, climbing and crown green bowls!  They share Severn Hill with their children, Jack (2008), Polly and Sam (2011) alongside Stanley, an intellectually challenged cocker spaniel.
